About

We listen, act, and transform

Feel Stuck? Therapy Can Help My approach is to listen, see and understand you. I listen for challenges, longings, situations, and relationships. I listen for the ideas of change and hope. I listen to hear how you want to be in this life. I have been trained in many different methodologies because I believe that different situations require a variety of approaches. Since we are all unique my approach to treatment varies depending on your needs. My method is to be empathic and engaging. I believe that therapy is a place for self-expression and healing. I work to provide an environment that will help you to learn and practice emotional skills, improve communication, and develop a keener awareness and understanding of yourself and others. I provide a space for clients to participate using a collaborative process for setting goals and evaluating progress as we go along. This connection can help build self-confidence and deeper self-awareness. I want you to leave knowing you have several tools in your toolbox to use in daily practice. At the heart of our work together exists the therapeutic relationship. It is from this relationship that we will build a safe, collaborative and non-judgmental environment for you to meet your treatment goals. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. This means I have earned a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, completed more than 3500 hours employed in community-based agencies, schools, clinics, residential substance abuse inpatient and outpatient programs and have spent more than 10000 hours working directly with individuals. My work as a therapist has only deepened my awe & respect for the strengths and challenges that we all meet in life. I address many concerns including: anxiety depression relationship difficulties parenting blended families PTSD/trauma eating disorders/overeating LGBTQ concerns gender issues separation and divorce substance use/abuse unwanted behaviors and addiction intimacy and sexuality grief and loss anger and feelings management performance issues – athletic, career, academic self-esteem and personal development I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation Please call to decide if psychotherapy is right for you.
